If you're looking for fun, entertaining and educational things to do in the Greensboro, NC area, you've come to the right place. Our Weekend Guide is packed with a variety of our favorite events and activities that we want to share with you! 

1. Historic Gate City Trolley Tour

When: Fri, July 30 at 10:30am and 1:00pm

Where: Departs from the History Museum next to LeBauer Park in Downtown Greensboro

Enjoy some time with us on this comprehensive history tour aboard a classy, sassy, and comfortable Trolley. Whether you were raised in Greensboro or are visiting from afar, or even just passing thru, this is a great way to see the sights and hear the tales thru decades of popular landmarks, architecture, and history galore! These departures are on Mon/Wed/Fri @ 10:30am and 1:00pm. Downtown Greensboro local Trolley Tours occur with the comforts of air-conditioning, cushioned seats, an on-board Guide, and a stellar courteous Driver.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance, or by calling 336-722-7777. Neither bathrooms nor seatbelts are available on the Trolley. Beverages welcome but no glass or alcohol please. This tour can accommodate maximum of 8 passengers to practice social distancing aboard our Trolley. Also available for families, neighbors, etc most "anytime". 

NOTE: This tour requires a minimum of four passengers to run. Please book your desired party size (recruit friends/family), and we will reach out within 24 hours of the start time to let you know if the minimum has not been reached for a refund or to reschedule.

2. City Sunsets ft. the Grande Ole Uproar

When: Sat, July 31, 7:00-9:00pm

Where: Center City Park, 200 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC

FREE Program: Our favorite summer concert series is back! The Grad Ole Uproar* joins a stellar lineup of musical artists from around the region - check them out on Saturday, July 31! Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket (and your dancing shoes) for nights of awesome live entertainment. Food trucks and breweries on site for select dates - check the event discussion for updates!

*The Grand Ole Uproar’s musical gumbo conjures up the Texas twang of Waylon Jennings and Doug Sahm, the electric carnival of Dylan, the improvisational impulses of the Grateful Dead, and the laid-back swampy sound of J.J. Cale, as well as many other(and older) songs and artists in the American tradition. The Grand Ole Uproar frequently tours the Southeast and Midwest, and has shared the stage with artists like Grammy Award winning Texas trio Los Lonely Boys, The Hackensaw Boys, PALEFACE, The Southern Gothic, Drunken Prayer, The Deadstring Brothers, A Boy Named Banjo, Empire Strikes Brass, Cosmic Charlie, and the Straight 8s.
Greensboro Downtown Parks, Inc. (GDPI) is committed to providing a safe environment for our community in all ways. 3. Sunday Yoga at Natty's Downtown 

When: Sun, Aug 1, 10:00-11:00am

Where: Natty Greene's, 345 S Elm St, Greensboro, NC

Thank you for your interest in Yoga with Kim at Natty Greene's.
Your $6 ticket saves your spot in the class. You do not have to reserve in advance, but it is appreciated. Ticket price includes a voucher for your first Natty's draft after class!

Before class there are a few things we need to go over:
Class starts at 10am! Class is currently held in on the grass in Hamburger Square Park right next to Natty Greene's Downtown. Please BYO mat, towel, and anything else you may need.

We ask that if you are not feeling well you do not attend class that week, we will happily reschedule you to another week.

We can’t wait to have you with us on Sunday!

4. Core-X Pilates Pop Up

5. Megan Blake's Group Dog Training

6. Stephanie Quayle at Cone Denim

When: Sat, July 31 at 8:00pm

Where: Cone Denim Entertainment Center, 117 S Elm St, Greensboro, NC

Stephanie Quayle will be performing live at Cone Denim Entertainment Center in Greensboro, NC!

8. Food Truck Friday Grooves

When: Fri, July 30, 11:00am - 2:00pm

Where: Center City Park, 200 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC

FREE Program: Join us for some good eatin's and some live music!

Food truck Fridays are back and better than ever with live music! Each Friday will feature different trucks offering a variety of tasty eats. So come out, grab a bite, and enjoy the fresh air while listening to amazing local talent in Center City Park.

9. Summer Family Show

When: Sat, July 31, 10:00am - 12:00pm

Where: All-A-Flutter Farms, 7850 Clinard Farms Rd, Lot B, High Point, NC

Visit the farm & hand feed hundreds of beautiful butterflies! Family Shows are the only time we allow the general public to tour the farm without an appointment/group of 20+. Family Shows are only anticipated to be offered in the Summer months this season, so don't miss the opportunity to visit the farm! This morning trip is not only fun, but educational too. Tickets are limited, get yours today!

10. FREE Water Balloon Fight 

When: Sun, Aug 1, 2:00-4:00pm

Where: Greensboro Country Park, 3905 Nathanael Green Dr, Greensboro, NC

Looking for a family-friendly way to beat the heat? Cool down with Beyond Defense for our first WATER BALLOON FIGHT!
We’ll be out at Country Park, Pavilion #6 from 2 PM - 4 PM. It’s fun for all ages!
