If you're looking for fun, entertaining and educational things to do in the Greensboro, NC area, you've come to the right place. Our Weekend Guide is packed with a variety of our favorite events and activities that we want to share with you! 

1. Historic Gate City Trolley Tour

When: Fri, Sep 24 at 10:30am and 1:00pm

Where: Departs from the History Museum next to LeBauer Park in Downtown Greensboro

Enjoy some time with us on this comprehensive history tour aboard a classy, sassy, and comfortable Trolley. Whether you were raised in Greensboro or are visiting from afar, or even just passing thru, this is a great way to see the sights and hear the tales thru decades of popular landmarks, architecture, and history galore! These departures are on Mon/Wed/Fri @ 10:30am and 1:00pm. Downtown Greensboro local Trolley Tours occur with the comforts of air-conditioning, cushioned seats, an on-board Guide, and a stellar courteous Driver.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance, or by calling 336-722-7777. Neither bathrooms nor seatbelts are available on the Trolley. Beverages welcome but no glass or alcohol please. This tour can accommodate maximum of 8 passengers to practice social distancing aboard our Trolley. Also available for families, neighbors, etc most "anytime". 

NOTE: This tour requires a minimum of four passengers to run. Please book your desired party size (recruit friends/family), and we will reach out within 24 hours of the start time to let you know if the minimum has not been reached for a refund or to reschedule.

2. Kersey Valley Sunflower Extravaganza

When: Sat, Sep 25-Sun, Sep 26, 1:30-7:30pm

Where: Kersey Valley, 1615 Kersey Valley Rd, Archdale, NC

Experience an amazing opportunity to capture nature at its best at one of America’s largest sunflower attractions. Book reservations at Kersey Valley Sunflower Extravaganza for a whimsical photo shoot or just stroll through the GPS-designed fields in awe of the beauty across over 15 acres of sunflowers. Several different varieties of sunflowers bloom throughout the season, so your visit is sure to be a success!
Please note parking is at 6820 Cecil Farm Rd. This is an entrance just 3 houses north of our main entrance.

3. Sunday Yoga at Natty's Downtown 

When: Sun, Sep 26, 10:00-11:00am

Where: Natty Greene's, 345 S Elm St, Greensboro, NC

Thank you for your interest in Yoga with Kim at Natty Greene's.
Your $6 ticket saves your spot in the class. You do not have to reserve in advance, but it is appreciated. Ticket price includes a voucher for your first Natty's draft after class!

Before class there are a few things we need to go over:
Class starts at 10am! Class is currently held in on the grass in Hamburger Square Park right next to Natty Greene's Downtown. Please BYO mat, towel, and anything else you may need.

We ask that if you are not feeling well you do not attend class that week, we will happily reschedule you to another week.

4. Yadkin Valley Pumpkin Festival

When: Sat, Sep 25, 9:00am - 4:00pm

Where: Elkin Main Street, 226 N Bridge St, Elkin, NC

The Annual Yadkin Valley Pumpkin Festival held in Historic Downtown Elkin the 4th Saturday in September from 9:00am – 4:00pm.
The festivities begin Saturday morning with the Annual Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off located at 257 Standard Street at the Heritage Center. There will be pumpkins & watermelons from growers located all over the East Coast. Some will weigh-in at an excess of 1,000 lbs with hopes of placing in the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth top ten.
New: Kid Zone located at 257 Standard Street. Bounce Houses, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides...
The Main Street of Elkin will be lined with vendors of every description featuring everything from axe throwing, dunk'n booth, funnel cakes, Italian ice, fried pies, functional pottery, wood furnishings, soaps, BBQ to baked goods, sand art, kettle corn, jewelry, hand crafted gifts and so much more.
Its a great time to be had by all. Look forward to seeing you there.

5. Megan Blake's Group Dog Training

When: Sun, Sep 26, 4:30-5:30pm

6. Monster Jam

Where: Greensboro Coliseum Complex, 1921 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC

8. Food Truck Friday Grooves

When: Fri, Sep 24, 11:00am - 2:00pm

Where: Center City Park, 200 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC

FREE Program: Join us for some good eatin's and some live music!

Food truck Fridays are back and better than ever with live music! Each Friday will feature different trucks offering a variety of tasty eats. So come out, grab a bite, and enjoy the fresh air while listening to amazing local talent in Center City Park.

10. MAKRS @ Durham Central Park

When: Sun, Sep 26, 11:00am - 3:00pm

Where: Durham Central Park, 501 Foster St, Durham, NC

The MAKRS Society will be hosting it's monthly pop-up market at Durham Central Park!
Markets will be held every 4th Sunday (March-November) and 3rd Sunday in December.
Join us to shop from 30+ local artists and makers. We'll have food trucks and coffee joining us as well!
Durham Central Park is located right near the newly opened Durham Food Hall and a couple minute walk from some amazing breweries and local eateries!
All tents will be set up 6 feet apart to ensure the safety of all guests, and masks are required at all times while shopping. We will also have hand sanitizer setup at each booth.

12. Tabitha Brown: FEEDING THE SOUL Book Tour

13. Fall on the Farm
