Meet Rob & Barb

We met Ron and Barb through a past client who referred them to us. They wanted to relocate to our area to be closer to family, and would be selling their home and downsizing as well.

The Wish List

Rob and Barb has a very specific wish list regarding housing styles, location, and features. They needed a master on main, step-less entry, and ideally a single story house. Of course they had other desires as well. Barb had a grand piano that she needed a room for and Ron wanted an office. They also wanted something updated, that would not need a lot of work.

The Turbulence (or lack thereof)

Amazingly, there wasn't much turbulence during the transaction itself. Most of the turbulence was during the home search process because inventory is so low now in our market. There just isn't a lot to choose from and you have to be quick and ready to pull the trigger when you find something. We showed Ron and Barb a lot of houses, in different parts of town, but they would have to be patient. Most of them weren't updated enough or had steps. Their patience finally paid off, and we helped them find the perfect one level home in Lake Jeanette. 

The Results

Ron and Barb's transaction moved forward smoothly. Fortunately, the house had been well maintained, so there weren't a lot of repairs for the seller to make, only a few minor ones. Due diligence passed by without any drama. We spent a lot of time helping Ron and Barb find contractors that could help them customize the home to their liking. They wanted to paint and replace the carpet and do a few other things. We set up appointments and met with the client on site so they could take measurements, etc. It was such a pleasure to work with clients that we can now call "friends"!
