The holidays have arrived in the Triad!

Not only do we love this time of year, but we love seeing all of the gorgeous lights and decorations around town. Whether you're just visiting or have lived here for your entire life, there are a few holiday displays that you must see to get you in the holiday spirit!

1. Downtown Greensboro Festival of Lights

We love the Festival of Lights because it kicks off the holiday season in downtown Greensboro with the lighting of the community Christmas tree. It's a beautiful sight to behold, plus there's a sing-a-long, musical performances, and holiday crafts! Join us on Friday, December 6th, 6:00 - 9:00pm.

2. Candlefest at the Greensboro Arboretum

The Candlefest at the Greensboro Arboretum is a beautiful display of over 4,000 luminaries set up by the Girl Scouts. Not only will you see some great lights, you will be able to visit Santa, enjoy music in the garden, and hot chocolate and s'mores available for purchase. Join us on December 7, 6:00 - 9:00pm.

3. Sunset Hills

The lighted Christmas balls in the Sunset Hills neighborhood in Greensboro has to be one of the best places to see Christmas lights in our area! The neighbors string up lighted balls in the trees throughout the neighborhood. Cars drive slowly down the streets to see the lights. This is a very special tradition in Greensboro that is not to be missed!

4. Tanglewood Festival of Lights

We love the Festival of Lights at Tanglewood because it's an full throttle light experience like no other. Expect long wait times during the weekend and close to Christmas. There's a gift village where you can purchase holiday crafts, treats, and s'moresville where you can roast marshmallows.

6. Chinese Lantern Festival

Booth Amphitheater is transformed into a dazzling walk-through display with larger than life lanterns. Enjoy holiday treats and beverages from venue stands. Nov 22 - Jan 12, 2020. Tuesdays-Sundays 6-10pm. Closed Mondays except for Dec 23 and 30.
